Calender Rollers

Calender rolls are either a heat transfer roll running coolant within or heating rolls running hot oil from within for the desired temperature. These rolls apply continuous heat and pressure to densify, smooth, and/or modify the properties of the material being rolled. These rolls are used primarily to enhance surface properties, reduce thickness, and polish whatever material is being rolled.

Often, calender rolls have heat transfer capability by running fluid through their internal chamber to maintain uniform web temperature. Final tolerances and finishes are customized to meet the specifications of your material.
